(OMG! Where did all the time go!) I've been wanted to read it again. I've read selections from Lyrical Ballads, so I think I'll enjoy it.

I don't actually know how long The Raven is. In my head, I always imagined something like a story poem, like Rime of the Ancient Mariner, but not quite that long. I was only planning on reading The Raven. We'll see what happens!

From what I remember, Stoker wrote Dracula's Guest initially as a part of the novel, but it was cut. He later published it as a short story. Ever since I read Dracula, I've been wanting to read this, I just haven't yet.Lonihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16248163148722597124noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30889172.post-83936393501817537472013-05-17T11:12:15.303-04:002013-05-17T11:12:15.303-04:00Such an interesting mix! Good luck on Monday.JoAnnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13691864361197071517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30889172.post-61024057727101874902013-05-17T10:46:20.919-04:002013-05-17T10:46:20.919-04:00Ahh - you should save Emma and join us for Austen ...Ahh - you should save Emma and join us for Austen in August!! :) I'll be reading Emma and Persuasion for that event.

I like the range of your list, all kinds of good stuff from different genres and periods. The Handmaid's Tale was great. Wizard of Oz is a classic, though I didn't enjoy it as much as I hoped. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is one of my all-time favorites, and I loved Lyrical Ballads, too.

Animal Farm is great, as is The Raven (though this one is super short - will you be reading just The Raven, or a collection of Poems? Just curious!). I've never read anything by Stoker, other than Dracula... maybe I should add something else from him to my "to read" pile.

Good luck with the Spin - hope you get one that you're really looking forward to!
