Works In Progress

I am currently querying OF BLOOD AND AIR (working title), a 106,000 word adult high fantasy novel. It is a fusion of fantasy - from the beauty of Guy Gavriel Kay’s Children of Earth and Sky, a thread of power from the heroines of the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas and Erika Johansen’s Queen of the Tearling, crafted into a mature adult. The star of the story is a complex female lead, racially ambiguous and LGBTQ2S+. The world she lives in isn’t simple, where traditions battle with progress. Queen Elide will put her life on the line if it means keeping all her people alive and free.

As I query Of Blood and Air, I can't stop and won't stop writing. I am currently working on the first draft of a gothic fantasy. Right now, I'm calling it STRANGE GOTHIC, simply because I've set it in a fictional town, based on an actual place called Strange, and "Gothic" because that's what is inspiring me right now.

I always have some short stories on the side. Some are out on submission. Others are works in progress. I have a 90s Gothic Romance I'd like to place, but it's a "novelette", over 11,000 words. That's not for everyone. I also wonder if I can call it a "romance" as it does not have an HEA for HFN ending.
